This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
This position requires on-site presence in Kansas City, Missouri. Candidates must currently reside in the Kansas City area. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Job Summary:
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities. This role involves performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks, responding to emergency requests, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.

Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards.

Diagnose and repair building systems and equipment malfunctions.

Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.

Maintain the exterior of the building.

Log and maintain records of maintenance activities.

Assist in managing the maintenance budget.

Operate computerized Energy Management systems.

Respond to emergency situations and maintenance concerns.

Provide excellent customer service.

Be available for on-call and after-hours work.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred.

Proven experience in building maintenance or related field.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Licensed or journeyman electrician.

Strong knowledge of commercial electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.

Safety-minded with knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
Base salary:
Up to $34/hr
